I am Anemona.

I was born in Bucharest in 1980 and have been living in Austria since 1990. I grew up in an artistic family and have been drawing and painting since childhood. This early freedom to express myself allowed me to preserve an inner vision, one that comes from the heart, free from external rules and expectations. This genuine perception continues to shape the essence of my work to this day.

Later, I studied Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and carried this path into a professional artistic practice. Over the past twenty years, my works have been exhibited in museums and galleries in Austria and abroad. My practice includes painting, large-scale art and architectural projects, sculptures, and installations.

For me, art is an initiatory path. Through it, I come to know myself, layer by layer, threshold by threshold. Insight arises in the act of painting: in breaking open, shedding, reordering, condensing, and illuminating. These processes shape my works and carry the energy of an alchemical journey of coming to know myself, a movement from the unknown toward one’s own light, from the unconscious into self-realization.
